Rug size guide

Find your rug’s place.

Start with the furniture, then measure the space around it. A few minutes with a tape measure will help you choose a rug that feels right at home.

Our range includes 80 × 150, 120 × 170 and 160 × 230 cm rugs, plus 60 × 180 and 80 × 300 cm runners. Sizes vary by design.

Bring the seating together

For a compact sofa, try 160 × 230 cm with the front legs resting on the rug. Check that the rug is wider than your sofa before choosing this arrangement.

In a smaller nook, 80 × 150 or 120 × 170 cm can sit beneath a coffee table or beside an armchair. Centre the rug within the furniture arrangement.

A softer first step

A 60 × 180 cm runner or 80 × 150 cm rug beside the bed adds comfort where your feet land. Use one on each side if the room allows.

A 120 × 170 or 160 × 230 cm rug can work at the foot of the bed. Measure the bed and the clear floor space first; our largest size will not create a generous border around every double or king-size bed.

Leave room to pull out a chair

Allow roughly 60–90 cm of rug beyond each table edge, so chair legs stay on the rug when pulled out.

Most dining tables need a rug larger than our current 160 × 230 cm maximum. Check your table and chair movement before buying; choose another placement if the fit is too tight.

04 / Hallways & narrow spaces

Follow the room’s flow

Choose 60 × 180 cm for a shorter space, or 80 × 300 cm for a longer hallway. Leave a visible strip of floor on both sides and space at each end.

Check door clearance and keep the runner clear of door swings, steps and changes in floor level.

Measure once. Picture it properly.

  1. Measure the furniture and usable floor space in centimetres.
  2. Mark the rug’s corners with removable tape. Walk around it and open nearby doors.
  3. Compare the outline with your chosen size, including room for chairs or bedside steps.
